The private, 100% Romanian airline, DAN AIR, is expanding its route network and adding flights to 6 new destinations, operated from Bucharest and Bacău, starting April 1st. The new flights will connect passengers with Valencia, Larnaca, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, and Treviso, thereby consolidating the company's position on the Romanian scheduled flight market.
DAN AIR also announces an increase in flight frequency for two existing and extremely popular routes from Bacău (Luton and Brussels). In 2025, DAN AIR transported over 235,000 passengers and recorded a solid operational performance, with 98% of flights operated on time, an indicator that supports the company's growth and consolidation strategy.
Starting April 1st, DAN AIR will introduce another aircraft from its fleet into operation, allowing flights to be conducted with two planes, each with a capacity of 180 seats. This expansion comes amidst growing demand for direct flights during the summer season, both from the Moldova region and from Bucharest. The routes will be operated between April 1 and October 24, 2026. Thus, DAN AIR will fly to a total of 4 destinations from Bucharest and 12 destinations from Bacău.
"The introduction of the second aircraft into scheduled flight operations for the 2026 summer season allows us to take a step forward in DAN AIR's development and to honor our commitment to our passengers to constantly expand our route network and connectivity options. By expanding the flight schedule, we are connecting Bucharest with four European destinations and Bacău with no fewer than 12 destinations, thus strengthening this airport's role as a regional hub. Increasing frequencies to Brussels and London Luton, as well as the constant analysis of new destinations, reflects our commitment to offering travel access across a diverse, sustainable destination network, adapted to passenger needs and operational conditions in the long term," stated Matt Ian DAVID, CEO of DAN AIR.
