  • In 2025, turnover reached RON 138 million, while EBITDA amounted to RON 22 million;
  • Revenue from services recorded a growth of over 300%;
  • In-store services and partnerships with Mobilfox and Bitdefender are emerging as key growth drivers;
  • 2026 objective: focus on the Czech market and expand the number of stores in Romania;
  • Contakt is also assessing Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Poland for regional expansion;
  • Strategic focus on sourcing from China and surpassing the 2025 turnover level.

The Romanian retail chain Contakt, a leader in mobile phone accessories retail, reported an 8% increase in turnover in 2025, reaching RON 138 million, compared to RON 128.7 million in 2024. In addition, revenue from services rose by 300% last year.
By the end of 2025, Contakt achieved a turnover of approximately RON 138 million and an EBITDA of around RON 22 million, up from RON 20.2 million in the previous year. This performance was supported by the accelerated development of the company’s product and service portfolio, particularly through the expansion of in-store services such as professional phone cleaning and data transfer. Launched as a pilot project at the end of 2024, this segment was rolled out across the entire network in 2025, generating growth of over 300% in service-related revenues.
For 2026, Contakt is targeting turnover above the previous year’s level and announces an acceleration of growth driven by international expansion, improved operational efficiency, and the continued development of its product and service portfolio. The company’s strategy for the coming year is built on several complementary pillars, aimed at supporting profit margins and scaling the business model at a regional level.
”Our direction is clear: more services, greater value for customers, and a business model that can be efficiently replicated across markets. 2026 is the year we move from being a national company to a player with regional ambitions”, says Darius Petric, co-founder and president of Board of Directors Contakt.

A key strategic initiative for 2026 is strengthening Contakt’s presence in the Czech market, marking the company’s first expansion outside Romania. Contakt will open here its first locations at the beginning of the year and pilot the operational model that has proven successful on the domestic market, with the goal of reaching at least 10 stores by the end of 2026. At the same time, the company is assessing expansion opportunities in other Central and Eastern European markets, including Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Poland, as part of a medium-term regional growth strategy.
”The Czech Republic is the first step in a broader international expansion plan. We are targeting stable markets with strong purchasing power and a competitive landscape that allows for the positioning of a mid-premium and premium portfolio, such as Contakt’s. In the Czech Republic, we will replicate the operational model successfully implemented in Romania. This system has driven rapid growth on the Romanian market and validated our partner-led expansion model. In doing so, we provide partners with a clearly defined business model, while contributing to the development and strengthening of their entrepreneurial capabilities”, adds Marcel Ioftor, co-founder Contakt.
Another key strategic priority for 2026 is supply chain optimization, with the company aiming to reach a sourcing mix of 80% from China and 20% from Europe. This structure is designed to support margin growth and offset the impact of rising operational and fiscal costs. At the same time, Contakt will continue to expand its retail network in Romania by testing new store concepts tailored to areas not served by large shopping centers.
In 2026, the focus will be on value-added solutions for consumers, ranging from technical phone services to integrated hardware and software protection packages, such as those offered through the partnership with Bitdefender. These include protection against cyberattacks, data theft attempts, unauthorized access to applications or accounts, as well as malicious software that may affect the optimal performance of devices.
From a portfolio perspective, the company is targeting sales growth driven by strategic partnerships with Swissten, PanzerGlass - a globally recognized brand for premium screen protection solutions, and Mobilfox - the largest online retailer of customized phone cases in Southeast Europe, through which customers gain access to a full range of cases.
2025: A Year of Consolidation, Profit Growth, and Organizational Maturity
The year 2025 represented a period of consolidation for Contakt, amid a challenging economic environment marked by political uncertainty, higher taxation, and a slowdown in retail consumption. Despite these conditions, the company closed the year with financial results above 2024 levels, reporting growth in turnover, net profit, and EBITDA.
The initiative to explore a potential listing on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange marked an important stage in the company’s organizational maturity. This step contributed to increased visibility within the business community, a clearer strategic positioning, and a constructive dialogue with investors. Engagement with the capital markets also provided valuable insights for future development, while a public listing remains an option for a later stage, subject to a more favorable market environment and a more advanced level of business scale.
”2025 was a year in which we tested our resilience and ability to adapt. We demonstrated that we can grow profitably even in a challenging economic environment, and this solid foundation allows us to approach our ambitious plans for 2026 with confidence”, concludes Marcel Ioftor.

At the same time, in 2025, the company continued optimising its retail network by closing underperforming stores and opening new locations, reaching approximately 240 active points of sale in Romania. Also in 2025, Contakt completed its transformation from a limited liability company (SRL) to a joint-stock company (SA) and successfully concluded an audit conducted by Deloitte, an essential step in streamlining operations and enhancing organisational transparency.
